How URPulse works

A city-first community experience that helps you discover, follow and contribute without turning local information into a generic social feed.

Explore your city
1

Choose your city

Start with your Home City. Neighbourhood is optional, so city-wide discovery always stays useful.

2

Discover what is nearby

See local posts, events, businesses, places and alerts in one location-first experience.

3

Follow what matters

Follow places and businesses, save useful posts and mark events you are interested in or attending.

4

Contribute locally

Share posts, submit events or businesses, and follow the review status from your profile.

Referral pilot

Share, earn and track your rewards

Open Profile → Share & earn to send your personal invitation through WhatsApp, SMS or social media. Open Profile → My points & rewards to see your available balance, reward requests and voucher details.

  1. Your friend creates a new account and enters your invitation code within 7 days of joining.
  2. They verify their phone, choose a city, add a display name and confirm setup in the mobile app.
  3. You receive 10 points when the referral qualifies. Sharing, a click or website registration alone does not qualify. Self-referrals are not eligible.
Milestones count qualified referrals
LevelQualified referrals
Silver milestones1, 3, 5, 10
Gold milestones20, 30, 40, 50

Request a voucher

The current pilot lets you request a $5 CAD Tim Hortons voucher for 100 available points. Points are reserved while your request is reviewed. If approved, an admin issues an available voucher; you can view its code, instructions and private support conversation in My points & rewards. A rejected request releases the reserved points.

Points are promotional credits, not cash. Requests require admin review and voucher availability. Referral levels do not automatically issue vouchers. A staging test voucher is not valid in store. URPulse does not claim sponsorship or endorsement by Tim Hortons.

Sources and AI

Technology supports local information

URPulse brings together community submissions and information collected through supported verified sources. Source links let you check original details. Verification applies to the source and does not guarantee that every detail stays current.

Where enabled, AI helps extract event candidates from source pages for admin review. AI-only candidates are held for review. Automatic publication requires an admin-approved source configuration and validation; admins can disable it.

Check the official organizer or source for changes to event times, venues and alert instructions. Report incorrect or outdated information through URPulse.
